Before the 23rd National Ear Care Day, the 3TREES Charitable Foundation held the donation ceremony of its fourth cochlear implant donation program in the outpatient hall of the First Hospital of Putian City, Fujian, China. Representatives of the 3TREES Charitable Foundation, President Xu Zhiyang of the First Hospital of Putian City, and the doctors of the medical team led by Director Fang Chao of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the First Hospital of Putian City attended the ceremony. 

2022 is the fourth year of the cooperation between the 3TREES Charitable Foundation and the First Hospital of Putian City on the cochlear implant donation program. This year, we will donate another 300,000 RMB to provide cochlear implants to five hearing-impaired patients from financially-strapped families in the city, one set of implants for each patient. As of now, 3TREES has helped a total of 20 patients recover from hearing impairment and regain their "voice". All these patients are now recovering well.

The “Cochlear Implant” program is a project led by Fang Chao, Director of the Department of Otolaryngology of the First Hospital of Putian City. It not only fills the gap of cochlear implant technology in the city, but also gives blessing to hearing-impaired patients and their families. By setting up a special fund for the program, the 3TREES Charitable Foundation aims to help more children and adults with hearing impairment complete cochlear implant surgery and overcome the difficulties in life. Through the hard work of the First Hospital of Putian City, Director Fang Chao and his team, the patients have received the best medical treatment and services, and returned to the world of sound, which gives great help to their families and to their life.
