In 2021, a rainstorm swept through central China, demonstrating the destructive power of nature and the spirit of love in times of crisis.

When the torrential rain and flood occurred, 3TREES closely followed the disaster situation, contacted the Henan Provincial Charity Federation right away, and decided to help repair schools, hospitals and other public institutions damaged by the disaster through donating paint products and other means. On August 27, 3TREES started the process of donating materials to the Hongqi District Experimental Kindergarten in Xinxiang City, Henan Province.The 3TREES staff arrived at the kindergarten together with the materials to ensure a clean and healthy environment for the children when the kindergarten autumn term begins.

The Hongqi District Experimental Kindergarten is a first-class kindergarten in Xinxiang City, and one of the first group of pilot institutions for integrated education. With a total area of 8,780 square meters, and a construction area of 3,000 square meters, the kindergarten is an advance institution of childhood education and health care in both Xinxiang City and Hongqi District. Currently, there are 28 teachers and 238 children in the kindergarten. 

Wang Huali, Director of the Hongqi District Experimental Kindergarten, said, "I did not expect the storm damage would be so serious. There was flood everywhere in the kindergarten, and the beautiful garden lost its color, the children's classrooms, recreation rooms and playgrounds, as well as flowers and trees were soaked in water. It was really heart-breaking."

At the donation site, Director Wang said that she was grateful to 3TREES for visiting the experimental kindergarten to learn about the practical difficulties and needs of private-run kindergartens, especially schools providing integrated education, which was best showcase of the spirit of solidarity in times of crisis.

In addition to the paint products for repairing the kindergarten, 3TREES's technical service personnel also checked the damage of the campus walls. They explained the problems of the walls to the teachers, gave their suggestions for repairing, and introduced the process and method for using the green odorless products. They also expressed the hope to restore the kindergarten to its original condition as soon as possible, so that the children could breathe freely in a new environment!

As of now, 3TREES has received requests for help from several schools in Henan Province, and various tasks were being carried out in an orderly track.
